Computers to Go moves out of Midland Mall

A local computer business has found a new home in Center City.

Computers to Go, formerly located in the Midland Mall, recently moved to 1914 S. Saginaw Road, across from Tim Hortons and Jersey Mike’s Subs. This new location offers more space for the business, helping them start their web design service.

Computers to Go offers personal computer repairs, 3D printing, data recovery, security camera installations, and electronic recycling, said owner Zac Mularz. They also sell refurbished computers and design custom gaming PC’s.

Computers to Go first opened in the Midland Mall in 2007. It also has stores in Saginaw and Bay City. Mularz took ownership of the business about two years ago.

The Midland store moved out of the mall over Easter weekend after a dispute with mall management. The business has been open at its new location since April 25.

Mularz said the new location gives him two times the space work and offers more space for work benches. He plans on offering more web design services and commercial IT, a service he said is lacking in Midland.

“The old unit was so small, it was like working in a hallway,” he said. “It was hard to have more than two people in the (store) without feeling like you are in each other’s space. This location is a lot more presentable and it is a lot more modern.”
