Because you spend your workday more often than not, it’s spent at the computer and posture is important to keep you healthy throughout the day.
Clint Lutterman of 21st Century Rehab says it’s important to have good posture while sitting at your computer. Lutterman talks about the variables that can exist while working on your computer with regard to correct posture.
“Be aware of posture and position while working on the computer. Make sure you don’t stroll too much. The position of the monitor, the position of the computer you are looking at, is important. ”
Lutterman notes that these are simple things that people can change during their workday to get better posture and avoid some of the problems like shoulder pain and headaches that can be attributed to incorrect posture.
“While you are sitting and in that hanging position, your head is tilted back relatively a bit so that you can keep it horizontal. The muscles in the back of the neck become very tight, which can cause a lot of headaches. “
Lutterman says there are many other problems that can be attributed to poor posture, such as vision problems and shoulder pain.
